The Forecast
Saturday and Sunday, 23 – 24 August 2025
Temps have definitely dropped this week, but we’ve been blessed with a clean NE swell rolling through. Classic bank holiday fade coming, so expect it to back off – still some fun waves Saturday, and maybe a few left for Sunday if you’re keen. The Sea temperature has dipped a little as well, just be aware, nothing major but more average.
Saturday:
Wind’s eased off a bit, and we’ve got swell running all the way down from Scotland. Classic NE pulse though – it won’t hang around as long as an NW. Still, north east Kent’s looking fun with the peak around 10 to noon, but decent either side. Expect it to be clean with the odd sneaky bigger set rolling through. 🤙
Sunday:
Sunday’s pretty much the tail end of the swell for Kent. The question is how long the beaches can hold it before it fizzles. Best bet’s a little wave at Joss or Viking, mid to low tide, but expect it to be slow and soft with less push. Swell’s dropping, so take what you get – it’s not gonna suddenly fire up🤙
Bank Holiday Monday:
It’s relatively flat, with maybe a small remnant of a wave, but don’t bank on it.
Rip Advisory:
It’s a NE Swell, so with that will come some rip tides, but nothing you should not be able to handle. Saturday is the highest risk, but Sunday and the bank holiday are good. Be safe always.
