The Forecast
Saturday and Sunday, 14 – 15 June 2025
Alrighty, surf fam — here’s the lowdown for the week:
We’ve got a SW windswell rollin’ in, not huge but could pulse if the wind picks up proper. For North Kent, it’s one of those “wait and see” kinda deals — might catch a rideable bump if the breeze holds and lines up. But down South — think Folkestone, Brighton, even a bit of Camber — there’s definitely more promise. Could be a few fun peelers for those chasing some salt time.
Keep the wax fresh and eyes on the charts 🤙
Saturday:
NE Kent might just sneak a little somethin’ — nothing to froth over, but could be surfable if you’re keen and got the right board for the mush. Down South — South Kent into East Sussex — swell’s lookin’ to build as the day goes on. It’s all wind-fed juice funnelling up the Channel, so don’t expect clean lines, but there will be waves. Afternoon’s the go — that’s when things should start lighting up a bit more. Might be lumpy, might be junky, but it’ll move! Wax up the groveller and go sniff out some corners. Afternoon sessions might be worth it 🤙🌊
Sunday:
We’re lookin’ at a bit more punch in the swell — more organised, tidier lines than Saturday, though still not a monster. Winds swinging westerly to south-westerly, so it’s not ideal, but it will throw up some waves. Could be waist-high, maybe a touch more if the swell fills in right, but it’s a bit of a roll-the-dice. Either way, it’s definitely a paddle day. Stay frothy, stay safe, and get out there — even if it’s just for the splash. Salt cures most things 🤙🌊
Rip Advisory:
For South Kent and East Sussex, both Saturday and Sunday are showin’ signs of life — not epic, but enough to call some reps. Wind swell energy down the Channel means there’ll be waves rollin’ in, especially as things build through Saturday into a more organised pulse Sunday.
